Virgin.net broadband has re-joined the broadband vanguard by upgrading its Plan One and Plan Two packages to 8Mb, which appears to be the new super-fast broadband standard.
Virgin.net Plan Three is still at an anomolous 512Kb, but surely not for long…

The Carphonewarehouse has announced it’s arrival in the broadband marketplace with a very big bang, offering free 8Mb broadband if you take out its Talk3 International call plan. The call plan costs about the same as a BT call plan.
