ITV has become the latest big name player to offer internet television with live programmes and repeats launched from the end of March.
The broadcaster announced that the service would allow viewers to watch programmes from all four of its channels – mostly for free.
ITV will allow the programmes to be downloaded from a new website, live and repeated for up to 30 days after the date they were first shown.
Viewers will be able to watch programmes via their computer, on television sets if they are linked to the computer, or on entertainment PCs which include a TV-style screen.
