Pipex broadband have launched a great new deal, with the cost of broadband starting from just £8.95 per month.
Recently aquired by monster ISP Tiscali for £210 million, Pipex is a well established broadband provider (Pipex made a number of aquisitions of it’s own, including ISP’s Bulldog and Toucan) and offer all their products at speeds of up to 8Mb.
You can also get a free wireless router with the current promotion, so it’s definately worth checking it out. See details of this offer as well as all the various products from Pipex on the Broadband Genie website.

Yeah - but Pipex have shocking shocking customer service… beware.
I have had a whole range of products from servers to broadband connections anbd they have never excelled themselves…
I’ve had Pipex for ages now and never had any major problems. There was a bit of a glitch when they first installed but the customer service wasn’t too bad as I recall, they sorted the problem out anyway…..
I would say Pipex are a reasonable choice.
I have just moved away from Pipex after 3 years with them. I moved for many reasons but the main ones were poor speeds, constantly being disconnected, huge packet loss and they also completely screwed me over for money.
I received a letter in November of 2006 explaining that my credit card payment had failed and that they would try again in a weeks time and if the payment couldn’t be taken my internet would be cut off. Well a week past and with no further contact from Pipex and my internet still on I thought, ok the payment came off this time. Little did I know that it had been paid for BUT Pipex stopped taking payments for the months after this because of a “bug” in their system. Well June of 2007 I get a letter from them DEMANDING the immediate payment of over £100. The only time I look at my creditcard statment for things that shouldn’t be coming off i.e my partner using it
not looking for things that are suppose to come off. They wouldn’t even let me create a payment plan to pay back the money I owed them at a monthly rate so over £100 straight off my credit card.
Waited until my contract ended with them in September and changed ISP.
