I joined O2 on the 31st January. Best thing I ever did! Connection is super speedy and best of all my laptop keeps connected. It never did when we were with AOL!
I'm on the standard 8mb package and I'm not an O2 customer so I pay £12.50 a month. Still half the cost of my AOL Gold package though and that dropped connection every 5 minutes. I've needed to ring customer services once or twice and they are always very helpful. The call is always answered within seconds and I've never been kept on hold. I have 100 days to change my mind, without penalty-but why would I want to leave? If this would have been available sooner I would have left AOL long ago! Setting up the router is a doddle-same with my e-mails,etc. Best of all you're kept updated every step of the way from the moment they receive your MAC code with your order to the moment you get connected. Well done O2!!

I am due to be connected on the 8th November. I live in East Sussex (Brighton). You can check if your exchange up set up for O2 or Be by going to http://www.samknows.com/broadband/max-league.php which will tell you if your exchange is set up for LLU broadband service..

Signed up for the 16MB service @ £7.50 per month. Good deal compared to what I am currently on (BT Option 3 at £24.99 per month). When I signed up I did it through Quidco, so I get £25 cashback which effectively means I will effectively be pay ing £7.92 a month!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whether I get a speed of 16MB I don't know - anything above 8 will be good.

I actually worked for o2 for quite a while and still have many close friends working there. I heard that this deal actually became available from the beginning of this week if you come in store. It basically works out about half price for any Be package as long as you have an o2 pay monthly mobile phone contract.

However, what I do understand, is that there will be a minimum contract - at least I deduce that from the fact that everyone who signs up will have a 100 day trial. Maybe I misunderstand this - maybe its a 100 day free trial? The way it was explained to me made is sound like a 100 day backing out period anyway.

It looks like o2 have kept their cards close to their chests, waited to see what everyone else has done wrong (talk-talk, orange etc.) and then launched this monster on us! I shall be signing up this week; if the service is as good as all existing Be customers' I've heard from say it is, this must literally be the single best uk broadband deal!

Goodbye AOL...I hate you so much! :p
