Had very little trouble and when problems occurred they were dealt with fairly efficiently by BT, except, maybe the  accents on the phone can be a little difficult to understand, none the less, pretty good for all that. Better news. I rang BT today to check my end of contract date as I am shopping around for a better deal and was promptly offered a discount to renew with BT: £14.99 for opton 2 or £17.99 for option 3, both 12 month contracts. Makes them attractive again eh! I’ve had BT Total Broadband option 2 since December 2006 on 18 month contract.
