HTC S740 hands-onWe liked the HTC S710 smartphone a lot when we reviewed it back in 2007 – the keyboard-only Windows Mobile Standard works much better than Professional, in our opinion.

The new HTC S740 is technically an updated model – it has a similar design candy bar design and slide-out Qwerty keyboard, but it has a fresh new look that’s in keeping with HTC’s other Diamond handsets. It’s tall for a candy bar handset, but the extra length makes room for an extra wide keys on the Qwerty keyboard and the HTC S740 is great for typing.
