Happy birthday Broadband Genie!

This week marked Broadband Genie's 5th birthday. We see this as a massive achievement for a website which is self-financing, completely independent of the broadband providers, and facing increasing competition from generalist money comparison websites.
 
The broadband marketplace has changed hugely in the past five years – from a fragmented market with 512k connections to today's behemoth, with providers offering up to 50Mb connections, not to mention the arrival of mobile broadband. But the basics of Broadband Genie are still the same – friendly, plain-English, consumer-biased information and reviews matched with accurate, up-to-date price and package data for all the main providers. We're still confident we're the best!
 
And there's plenty more to come – you'll be hearing from us in April as we add a host of new comparison features to http://www.broadbandgenie.co.uk and reveal the results of our latest comprehensive mobile broadband road tests...
