France Telecom revealed that Orange has managed to recruit a further 5,200 new customers to its broadband service in the last quarter. This increase brought the firm up to 1,142,000 ADSL customers by the end of September.
The rise in custom has been attributed to the launch of Orange’s new service - concentrating on providing help and support to its internet users, and to minimise cyber-crime - which may have given it an edge in the increasingly competitive broadband marketplace.
