Tiscali has agreed a new strategic growth plan for the company between 2008 and 2012. The new ventures will see Tiscali putting more emphasis on their UK and Italian divisions.
Tiscali UK is expected to raise its unbundled exchanges by 100 sites a year, taking the number sites up to 1,000 in 2008 and 1,000 sites in 2009 and covering 17 million lines.
The announcement also confirmed: “The plan also envisages, particularly in the UK by leveraging on the client base acquired with Pipex, to further develop a positioning in the SMEs market, by offering a complete portfolio of integrated IP services with a competitive market positioning.”
Tiscali expects to recruit 2,600,00 UK broadband customers (1.8 million direct and 1.4 millioni ‘multiplay’) by 2012.
