Irish UTV Internet launch phishing prevention service

Belfast-based ISP UTV Internet has teamed up with Brandmail Solutions to launch a "new breed of email service". E-mail clients will be given the opportunity to spot 'phishing' emails without even opening them up, as genuine messages only will display the sender's brand logo. Several companies have already signed up to the service and provided their official logos including Aer Lingus and Permanent TSB.
The new client will be utilised by more Northern Ireland-based ISPs in the near future.
