PlusNet increases customer download caps

PlusNet has altered its Broadband Your Way service by increasing the download limits for customers using its products without adding any additional fees to the packages.
In an email sent out to customers this morning the new limit details are as follows:
For subscribers using the Broadband Your Way Option 2 package, the cap has increased from 8GB to 15GB per month.
Broadband Your Way option 3 increases from 20GB to 30GB and Broadband Your Way Pro from 10GB to 15GB.
PlusNet confirmed that it decided to improve the cap allowance following increased public interest in streaming services such as the iPlayer and 4OD:
"We've seen a big increase in streaming since use of iPlayer and other video sites has grown, which is contributing to increasing average broadband usage" said PlusNet's product director Neil Armstrong.
