Orange mobile broadband hit with service problems

Friday 23 May 2008

It has been reported that Orange mobile broadband customers have been experiencing service problems since late last week and the issue still hasn't been resolved. According to notes, customers first started experiencing problems after not being able to access secure websites like Hotmail and Amazon last Thursday. However, during the weekend a few reported that they had no internet access at all.

The Register revealed that they had been contacted by a "frustrated business customer" yesterday who had experience difficulties in getting in contact with technical support to be told there were issues with the APN server. This customer reportedly told The Register that he had been offered confirmation. The following statement was released by Orange: "We can confirm that some of our customers may have experience intermittent connectivity issues whilst accessing our mobile data network recently. We are working to resolve this issue as a matter of priority and can confirm that only a small number of customers remain affected. We apologise for the inconvenience caused." Source: The Register
