I Purchased a 3 usb dongle as PAYG for £99 before it went down in price. It stopped working a week ago. I could only access the free 3 website to check my usage and balance but it wouldnt let me go on ANY other website. I have 717MB of credit to use. The customer services are based in India, they are bleepin Useless!!!!! They tell you lies like they are going to phone you etc etc. I thought that AOL was bad but these guys are of superhuman incompetence never witnessed before in all my 36yrs of life. I will never ever ever buy a 3 product as long as I live. Please, please avoid this company like the plague.
USELESS, LYING CROOKS. DONT RISK IT.

I have a contract £15 a month from 3 broadband and also bought a pay & go for partner. Pay and go is definately slower speed - even when used in the same room in same conditions (Manchester). I travel a lot on business and reception is poor to useless at times (no service at all in some parts of Ireland).
Customer service is very poor and almost what we have all come to expect from these big companies really.
I certanily wont renew contract with 3 when up for renewal. Overall 3 out of 10 !

Similair experience to a lot of people, unfortunately. Coverage maps show uninterrupted turbo coverage everywhere I would have needed the service, but I've tried it in 3 of these places and it won't even connect. Customer service would need a lot of training to qualify as useless. Mercifully I didn't risk a monthly contract, so this piece of garbage has only cost me £60 & a top up. Certainly wouldn't take any kind of service off 3 again.

I needed to get internet working fast because Virgin Media are doing some systems work and my internet stopped working and they say it can't be reconnected for another 2 weeks (if you are with Virgin, my sympathies. I am dumping them obviously!)
I bought a 3 USB mobile internet dongle and top-up for 80 quid, got home 4 hours later and got it working in 15min and was online @3.6Gbps!!!
No contract no fuss. Even the free sales line had knowledgable people who checked coverage and nearby phone masts. Very impressed so far!!
I compared and they have the best product/price of all teh mobile companies.

Avoid these crooks like the plague!I bought a 3 mobile modem for my daughter to use at University, first 4 months fine,a bit slow and she found it impossible to use more than 1GB, despite paying for 3GB (and no the credit doesn`t roll over, even though you pay for it)Then over easter (she wasnt even there for 10 days) she logs on and she gets 50,yes FIFTY messages saying she has gone over the 3GB (2 days previously!) they have charged her £23 for an hours use, that she wasnt even aware of,even though an upgrade to 7GB is only £10 a month more. Now she needs to use it for studying, but cant for a further 10 days, unless I pay £23 an hour, until the next bill is due.Spent all day on the Indian call centres with no help at all just arguments.Point being, it must be impossible at that speed ,less than 2.8 meg,to run up a bill that big,and not even be warned,or capped, or offered an upgrade.I firmly believe they just make up the bills as I have spoken to other users with the same exact problem.

Terrible speed, inconsistant connection, terrible help desk.
I called the helpdesk who asked me alot of questions, including what apn number I used on my mac. "What APN number" I replied. You cannot connect without one I was told. But I have been connected for the last 5 months albeit at a terrible connection. The advisor replied "but I am telling you you cannot connect without one" I sat there looking at my computer that was currently connected to the internet.

Still a very good service from 3 MBB in Manchester and the North of England with excellent connection speeds (HSDPA) although I take the point of Karen from Hove. I was in Brighton over the weekend staying with a friend who has a flat on the hill above Brighton railway station. I was receiving an excellent signal although the speeds were exceptionally slow. I've stayed not far away (a few streets away0 from where I stayed over the weekend and I received a fabulous connection speed. I'm sure the connection problems with Brighton and Hove must be of a topographic nature and some people experience weak signals and poor connection speeds owing to the hilly nature of Brighton & Hove.

Signed up to 3GB for 12 months at £15 a month. Works ok most of the time but disappointed with speed. Now getting messages from 3 telling me I'm over my download limit. Called the chap in India only to find that I'm £22 over ontop of my £15 a month and I have another 10 ten days before next months allowance starts. Overall not very pleased. I never checkd the reviews before I signed up so I cant really complain. In saying that I haven't read many good reviews about any broadband provider.

Started an 18 month contract on 12/01/2008 for 3gig. Got 1.2 -1.4 meg bandwith much better than a land line of 6.5 kms. Never failed to get aline. Two queries no email address so have to use hotmail and up load appears very slow. Supposed to be upgrading to turbo soon so should be better

I tried using 3 mobile broadband in Croydon and milton keynes. The service really stinks. I hardly get any speed.
The customer service people, sitting in India, are useless. They accept that service is not good in this area. They keep repeating that the 24 month contract cannot be cancelled.
They say it is my mistake, I should have checked the coverage in these areas before buying.
I seem to be stuck badly with this poor service for next 24 months.

Bought the pay as you go option and bought the dongle.Coverage where i am is turbo but between 4pm and 8pm there is too much traffic to achieve max speed.Other than that its fast portable and no need for a landline.Be careful which package you go for because of download limits. With pay as you go you just need to top up which allows you to use it as you like when you like.REcomended.

Terrible cusotmer service and coverage. We took out the contract in London where the key was fairly slow but did work. I told the 3 rep that I would be moving to Hove in a few weeks. He said that this would work which confirmed what the coverage checker on the website said. On the day I arrive in Hove it turns out that 3 don't cover this area. The result is that I'm stuck with a £15 a month contract for another 21 months for something that is worthless. 3 are refusing to budge even though I was promised that it would work. A case of misselling which I am looking to take further.
I would stay well clear and choose a provider with better coverage.

Product is OK but be warned, customer service when there is a problem is rubbish. I have been promised my replacement modem would be delivered 3 days ago and now been told it will now be another 2. Use your 14 day cooling off period wisely!!!
