we had ntl for years without many problems but since virgin took over we have had lots of problems. what annoys me the most is that current customers lose out on the good deals and the newbies get all the goodies including a free router box and they wanted to charge me £40 for a router so i got one elsewhere. i dont think they treat their customers very fairly.also had problems when talking to call centres overseas to put right any technical problems, i have spent a few nightmare hours doing that and get so mad and frustrated and usually get a thumping headache. i am currently looking around at the best broaband deals.

On 2MB package - pretty reliable, measures consistently well on speed test sites. Just got Sky 2MB which varies from 6Kbit/s (yes really that slow!!!) to 1.8Mbit/s and keeps dropping the connection - suddenly can't get to Google or BBC???
Seeing the raft of bad press for Sky think I'll stick with NTL - least it works consistently.

With the all the many fantastic words in the English I can not exaggerate how utterly unforgivably catastrophically criminally poor this service is. I have many many outstanding problems with this company ranging from a months delay for installations, to 45 min waits on hold to the call centres, to a £150 bill (in error) for one months service. Slow service, shocking technical support and just to cap it off the most irritating repeating hold music that would put most elevators to shame.
I have written on more than half a dozen occasions with no response and probably make on average one call a week for the last year to there call centre to sort out all our problems with no joy.

I have been with NTL for almost 4years and have found them to be very supportive, anytime i had a problem they sorted it almost immediately, now they have been taken over by virgin and although this is a very recent change i am having big problems, all searches have slowed down in fact some times i have given up, i always had google as my search machine but even that is refusing to work so i have had to change. Very unhappy with the change and although this may be teething problems that is no consolation to me when i can,t use my computer. Think its time like NTL to call it a day and change to another company.
