Having read the negative reviews below I would like to say that for two years I have had a thoroughly positive expeience with Eclipse. In particular I like the fact that on the few occasions I have had to contact them by phone, service has been both prompt and efficient. The service has been reliable and speed is good though variable depending on load at different timed of day, but basically everything I would expect from a good internet service provider.

Eclipse business broadband 20 is a first class broadband package for home users who are heavy internet users. It has clear usage limits (no FUP rubbish) and truly unlimited use overnight. I moved to eclipse after having a bad experience with orange who made my 2 meg line run at dial up speeds, they kept blaming it on my equipment and making excuses, so I told them to get stuffed after a month of constantly ringing up to try and get it fixed. Within 48 hours of moving to eclipse, tech support fixed the line fault (bt exchange issue) and my line speed doubled from the original speed (went up to 4 meg). As broadband providers go they are probably the best out their at the moment, although they are more expensive than other providers i can easy justify paying the difference

After nearly a month, they decided to give my BUSINESS broadband connection back! Apparently some fault at the exchange end ... after a few days it's chugging along again at less than 56k dial up speeds ... i have now my MAC code and I am going to leave. They made me wait over 30 minutes at peak times to get through to tech support .... Please - to all startup businesses out there - using Eclispe is lethal - think about more than cost, as ths is the hook they use. The loss of earnigns you will incur will hurt you, and the custoemr service will make you want to give up. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID .... woeful company, woeful service.

I am begging you all - do not use Eclipse Business Broadband!! Do not touch it with a barge pole as it's not a business standard service at all.

Let me take you through my terrible experience with them. I run a small business and having a good high speed connection is very important to me. For the first 3 months, it was very slow during the day (often at dial up speeds or less). Their technical support team were not the best - sometimes I was waiting for 2 or 3 minutes, but often for 10 to 15 minutes - note this is how they treat their business customers.

Then the whole service went down. I have now been without a broadband connection for 2 weeks. It went down on a Saturday, and as they don't offer support on weekends apart from Sat 9-5, I had to wait until Monday to report fault. They fobbed me off, failed to return calls, customer service are very stroppy.

They are now trying to charge me an early term fee for wanting to leave their phoney business service!! AVOID ECLIPSE!!!
