Nov 2011. Just accepted a too-good-to-refuse deal from TalkTalk. Told Waitrose I was leaving and they "noticed I was on an old expensive deal" and offered me a new deal ar £8.99. I asked why this doesn't appear on the Internet and he said it wasn't well enough advertised. Try finding this offer anywhere! I'm still changing because they still only offer 5GB download.

A truly awful ISP, offering a service very different from that which you'd expect from John Lewis.

As some of the other reviews have pointed out, it's very expensive compared with other ISPs, particularly if you need more than a very limited monthly download. I was prepared to pay this in the mistaken belief that I'd benefit from improved customer service if things went wrong. This isn't the case.

Greenbee sub-contracts its technical support to Plusnet. As I write this, I've had no broadband for a week as a result of a fault, and no indication of when it will be fixed. To make matters worse, some of the less able Plusnet support people convinced me that the problem related to my hardware or software, leading to a lot of wasted time and wasted money. Complaints elicit no substantive response; the answer tends to be, "I'm sorry you feel that way...." etc. I'd advise anyone thinking about a new ISP either to pay for a more reliable service elsewhere, or if you're happy with what Plusnet offers, you should sign up with them for a far lower monthly cost.

After a string of luke warm providers over many years I came to Greenbee at last and have been with them for over three years. One of the best bits is that you get rid of the dreaded BT phone bill that most can't understand and know exactly what your going to pay a month. I contacted Greenbee and for a price got almost unlimited usage as well. The really golden bit is the free help if everything should go wrong, not that it does from their end , but did have a new pc go dicky and they sorted it after line testing and got to the root of the problem with their help.

The only real upside of Greenbee is you're getting that ever famed John Lewis customer service. Beyond that, it's god awful value with very strict restrictions. I guess it makes sense considering the demographic they are targeting, but for any person who isn't 50+ and computer illiterate, you will probably find it to be a below par package, even if the customer service is top notch.

Greenbee has cost me a bomb. I was assured that their broadband and phone package was adequate for my needs but their limited downloads meant that I consistantly had to pay more each month than the £33 I was expecting - the worst being an astronomical £120 for a month's usage!!. When I had to cancel and go with a provider who offered unlimited downloads they charged me £65 as a cancelation charge.

I have been with Greebee for two years. Very few problems. 0800. 24/7 technical support. Recommended.
