Was with BT for ages, hated them but stuck with it despite spending over 30 hrs of my life wasted with their morons from the call centre trying to sort out issues on my line. Switched over to O2. All I can say is, it's been AWESOME so far, cheaper, faster, better line quality. And the Tech Support is epic compared to BT, the people on the other end actually know what they are on about. Unlike f*****g BT. Have recommended to many so far and will continue to recommend.

Had o2 for about 18mths on the 16meg package and can get about 12meg consistently. It works perfectly with my Xbox, contrary to other reviews, and very rarely drops. Recently had issues with road works in the area affecting landlines and o2 kept me constantly updated on issues, even when I was at work and didnt know there were any!

Customer service is A1 and my speed never appears to be capped even at peak times. I have and will continue to recommend!

    Keep it up! :-)

If you want trouble free broadband dont go with o2 as these muppets are exactly like bt - useless - and once they have you in contract then you have got to stick with them. great broadband lmfao speeds are like dial up thort sky and virgin were bad its a waste of space ringing them they just fob you off and says in t/c as long as you have internet we cant do anything .ps they mean they dont want to do anything.

Being an O2 customer, I decided to go for the Broadband package... I was surprised to find they only charged £7.50 a month which is really cheap. I chose the 8mb package and was quoted Unlimited downloads. I have been wary of companies that quote this, however O2 was the only company that was true to their word. I used to be a virgin customer, and am a very heavy downloader and I used to be capped by Virgin... but O2 have never capped me even though I download more now than I did with virgin.

I was quoted an estimate of up to 5mb, but when I tested my connection I was getting 6.5mbps which is more than what they quoted and I think that's brilliant lol. To date I have had no problems with O2, and I was setup in just a week. I recommend them especially for heavy downloaders :).

The wireless router is free, and it works with my iPhone and PS3 - game on!!! ^^.

I find it odd that (a) o2 have such consistently positive and numerous reviews and (b) it is apparent that they are gaming where they appear...the price is listed as zero with a small caveat that it is £22 per month.
Must say it undermines my confidence in the o2 offers.

i looked up several internet providers. i went with O2 as it is less than £7.50 a month (im a regular O2 customer so i get £5 off a month) and i have not had one issue as of yet

the connecting is brilliant. my mum is also with O2 after changing from orange. orange were terrible according to her, and it cost an arm and a leg to ring customer services. and its free with O2. and the only time she rang o2 customer services, they were extremely helpful

    I recommend them to anyone!

Brilliant! I'd been with Telewest until they were bought by Virgin and the service became atrocious overnight. Fed up with the endless button pressing on the 'help' line, I finally decided to change to O2, and it's looking like the best decision I've made in ages.

Everything has been simple and smooth, from ordering, to installing. Calls to customer services have been answered swiftly and by people who are both helpful and knowledgeable. And all for a third of what I was paying previously.

    Highly recommended!

o2 very good speed - up/down, averaging 1.7mb up and 17mb down - cant be bad! Tel Support is brilliant - speak to an British based advisor in seconds after selecting option.

Was with Orange until recently - Best move I ever made

O2 are brilliant!Highly Recommended! i live in an area where it is more expensive because of the connections so i pay about £17 .Its rubbish in my area for mobile broadband and most reception for phones. I had the worst time with BT and i have never experienced such a badly run business in my life.
O2 couldnt be further from them. The customer service is quick, efficient and helpful every time. I dont get transferred from one to the next and then get cut off.
My connection was set up a week after i called-i received a text to tell me of the connection date a day after the call.

The braodband quite honestly couldnt be simpler to set up.i just put in the CD, set up the equipment and then clicked next a few times.its was setup in 20 mins without any hassle at all.I just couldnt believe it. No typing in anything. this package is great for people who arent technically confident.
Its so easy and stress free! The speed is really good. best ive experienced in a while and even better than work where it is a central position and supposedly quick speeds.
Please get O2 even if you have to wait longer or pay more its worth it.
I got a bonus when i called up they said i had one month free as a promotion. Id already brought the router so didnt need to be given the promotion but i hadnt registered until then so i got it.

This really is the best broadband, most reliable, easy set up, customer service, speed and value for money. Trust me ive looked and asked around. Even cheaper if you have an O2 phone!

I'm leaving O2 after 6 month with them.

I've had sub-300kbps download speeds at peek times for 4 months now and with a 38 hour outage last weekend (13-15/02/09) I could not take it any more. Packet loss makes the connection seem even slower as web pages are unresponsive. Xbox live also fails to sign in, it's that slow and lossy!

My problems are mostly exchange specific (Canterbury exchange) and O2 say they are upgrading the exchange but they have been saying that for 3 months now and can not supply a date they just say soon.

I guess you get what you pay for and £9.79 is not enough to be able to supply a 16Mbps UNLIMITED service.

I would not be able to recommend O2 unless they finish the network upgrades they say they are doing and speeds improve massively AND stay that way.

I have been with o2 broadband for over a year, and a o2 mobile customer for over 5 years, and I can honestly say, that they are the best. The level of service given is the highest, when ever I have needed the help of the tech dept/customer service, I always get treated with respect, the right advice Is given, and they have always so far followed up at later dates to find out if the problem was solved.

To get to speak to a educated person based in the uk, is a major plus point, instead of havin some silly idiot from abroad askin me if the green light Is on or if the power is on, as if I was some stupid idiot who doesn't know how to use electrical equipment.

To end, I have so far gotten over 200 people to join o2, and none of them have regretted it. My advice is leave all the other providers, and join o2, cos they are they first company to offer real and honest service.

I am on the £7.34 package. When i took it out, it was £7.50. However, o2 were celebrating their broadband birthday and i was given a years internet completely free. I also recieved a free wireless router and access to the 24/7 help line. Even when i do have to start paying, £7.34 for 8mb with a 400GB download limit, i am not complaining. I would recommend it to everyone. Go O2.

I have had o2 installed now since Sept 08 - at the moment i am on the pro package - i have to say i used to use Virgin (ntl) and had it for about 6 or more years - pruely the price was my big infulance to change but now i wouldn't change - o2 have been gr8 and when you phone for anything there support is top plus its a free call (not one of those 50p per min jobs)
If anyone is thinking of changing or getting broadband i would whole heartly say go to o2.

    Well done o2 - great service !

Moved to O2 from Tiscali about 2 weeks ago. What a difference!! O2 are a lot cheaper (£7.34 instead of £15.98), better speed and proper customer services (I called them twice around 11pm and spoke to competent people in the UK (Tiscali seem to employ cheap people in India that have no idea how to sort problems)). Really happy with the experience so far and would recommend them without hesitation!

Well, I have had O2 premium in and running for 2 days now, and I am very impressed. I wasn't looking forward to setting up the O2 adsl box as I have only ever used cable broadband, but it was so easy, all I did was plug the 4 ethernet leads from the 3 PC's and 1 xbox direct into the o2 box, and that was it, I didn't have to do anything else at all. I was impressed with the speed as well, on broadband (ntl) I was paying £25 a month for 10meg down and 488 up, now I'm getting speeds of 16-18meg down and 1100 up.
here is my speedtest link wit O2

I am very pleased with O2 and would certainly recommend it to anybody considering getting it.

First line technical support have been tremendously helpful as I was getting disconnected from the broadband a fair bit. They increased the broadband stability on the line and created a case to second line who in all honestly were not really helpful or knowledgeable and waisted time by getting me to mess around with the test socket and sent out a new router and may I add didn't call me back. Eventually they ran a test on the line which the first line advisor said should have been done initially and when the results came back it was a fault at the exchange which they sorted by getting an engineer out to the exchange.
