avoid like the plague, they do not answer the phone the do not reply to emails or letters, no longer unlimited (capped at 15gb) and drops to below dial up speed if you go near the cap, cap is for both up and down loads.

I swapped to Redten about 8 months ago, after placing the order and requesting to get the pc at the same time as they swap the connection, they then swapped my connection and it took 8 weeks to get the laptop! After this point not too bad until 2 weeks ago when the connection was cut off by BT for 1 week until they found a new supplier NJP services. My connection download speed is now 2Kb/s, slower than dial up and still can't get any contact from Redten to find out what is going on. God I wish I had stuck with Tiscali and bought a PC!!!!

Placed my order on 14.12.07, and have been ringing once a week from Jan 11th to find out where my equipment is. Have been fobbed off (and lied to) on every occasion - "It's just been dispatched", "I'll send your router to you today" (was never dispatched) and so on. Have also emailed because you cannot speak to a manager, but got no reply. Today I finally managed to get through to customer service again, for my weekly chat, and after being put on hold a few times, was told, sorry, we can no longer fulfill your order. That was it, after over a month and a half.

This is a cowboy operation of the first order, and I advise you to avoid them like the plague.

Its seems that Redten are back with new management and new investors who seem determined to clean up the mess left by Watford Electronics. They've obviously put a lot of money into the company because the offers are better than before. I was with Tiscali for a while but theyre hopeless and now I've joined up with Redten and I'm getting 2 Toshiba laptops. The new Redten seems a lot better organized and with a lot of money behind it and I'm sure they will do well. Good work and welcome back Redten.

Customer service is extremely poor. Avoid them. I have no confidence in their ability to resolve any problems which arise.

Started Redten service just before Christmas 2006. The computer
Is OK but definitely not state of the art, as described.
Cheap/tacky keyboard and speakers came with the pc but the lcd monitor is reasonable.
My PROBLEM IS that since Redten's parent company (Watford electronics) went into liquidation, my service has gone down hill.
i.e. my broadband service is very intermittent (goes off for weeks at a time) . Their support does not exist and I have not seen any of the free monthly software advertised.

I have now gone over to Telewest/Virgin cable broadband as this does not require a MAC code from Redten and will Cancel (no doubt this will be very hard to do) my Redten contract.

....DO NOT SIGN UP WITH REDTEN...............
    you have been warned!!

Great deal this. I've just switched from BT Broadband and am getting the same broadband speeds and a free PC (which is actually really good - especially the monitor!) for £3 less than I was paying before. Thanks Redten!!
