    I bought a Gt 1000 tablet which ios fine but having difficulty connecting it to the 3g network. . Have found a compatible dongle but is sim free. Do I just buy a sim from any co. and how do you set up thye sccount?

    The basic answer is yes; just buy a data sim from whomever. It’s not a simple matter though of just putting a sim in the dongle unfortunately. You will need to put the APN settings for the network you choose into the dongle. TBH Ideally when connecting a non 3G tablet to the internet I would recommend a Mifi type of device or better still to tether the tablet to your smart phone, if you have one.

    Not sure what the procedure is for all networks with regardless to accounts but I know if you buy a 3 network sim their network will recognise the sim’s phone number which in turn allows you to enter your account. Don’t know for sure if the other networks are as easy as that.

    One other thing to consider and that is to make sure the network you choose has coverage in the area you intend to use it if possible.
