My company ships large volumes of PCs internationally and we are interested in supplying some of them with a specific 3G dongle for customers to get online with. The plan is to pick one specific model to support.

I'd like to know if there is USB 3G dongle that supports usage in most parts of the world and allow users to insert their own local tariff/sim card?

There are a large number of dongles out there which work internationally, for example this tri-band Zoom model will give mobile data access on the majority of GSM networks worldwide. It's unlocked so will accept any SIM.

However the problem for you will be that due to the differing standards and frequencies it could be difficult to guarantee service in every location. This dongle will also not provide access to non-GSM networks, for example Verizon's CDMA service in the US.

Are there particular countries to which you frequently ship PCs?
