I think different phones have different data download speeds. How can I find out the relative speeds the phones provide before buying

Report abuseIf you check our smartphone section we list specs in the table below the price comparisons for each model, it will tell you there what kind of connections a phone supports. Our smartphone glossary guide gives further info about the different acronyms.
If there's more detail you need then a quick Google search of the model will provide extra data, or you can just go to the manufacturer's web site.
Keep in mind though that despite some handsets supporting a theoretical speed of 21Mb you won't ever see that kind of performance in the real world, so I wouldn't worry too much about the minute details of different models, any recent smartphone will provide 3G connectivity.
