I live in Bletchley, Milton Keynes which doesn't have very fast broadband. My current speed test on my line is only 1.5Mbs/sec through Sky so I am wondering if I was to change to Virgin (which has a fibre network) would this make any difference to the overall speed that is delivered to me? As I understand it my line would still have to go through the BT exchange which essentially would always slow the speed to something close to what I am getting now. Could someone please clarify this point as all ISP's seem to skirt over it!

    Thanks in advance

    Simon
