my touch screen does not work when I try to answer calls. I am very frustrated with the phone.

I've not heard of anyone else suffering problems like that with the Galaxy S, it's generally received very positive reviews as well. Have you spoken to the support at Samsung or your network? -

hello. My partner and I bought a Galaxy each. They arrived on the same day, we activated and setup the phones together and whilst we could make calls, send receive txts, surf the web via our home WiFi, use apps, etc etc etc, neither of us could receive calls from anyone. The screen shows incomming call, the red and green buttons show, but no amount of pressing will answer call. I've just spoken to Orange help and after resetting factory defaults, which did not work, they have decided that both phones are faulty. So either they have a problem with the phone fullstop, or they have a faulty batch??

The Samsung Galaxy S is is a complete nightmare!!! I have had two brand new handsets within the space of 5 days. The first one had a faulty headset socket, and only emitted sound from one earpiece, or no earpieces, depending on how much you jiggle the jack plug. At no time could i get sound in both earpieces, simultaneously! Anyway, the supplier agreed to send me another new handset. Upon receipt, I found that this one had a faulty internal speaker which meant that the sound was so faint that you couldn't hear anyone you were talking to, when either making or receiving a call, even when the phone was turned up to to 'Max' volume, it was still far too quiet and tinny. Rather defeats the object of having a phone really!!! Anyway, i have completely lost faith with the Samsung Galaxy S, and have insisted that the supplier send me an HTC Desire, instead. I can only conclude that Samsung must have no quality control whatsoever, as I can't believe that I was so unlucky as to get the only two faulty phones in circulation!!!!

i upgraded to a galaxy s phone, recieved it ok but the instruction booklet didnt give specific details on how to answer incoming calls, (just said touch green accept icon) i thought there was a fault , so was sent another one, same thing. it was only looking at this forum that i realised you have to swipe the green accept icon to actually answer, not made very clear in booklet

Hi im now on my 9th handset which arrived this morning each phone has had same problems from freezing and even had one over heat. my son has same phone which was replaced once and he has not a single problem with his.
They crash , they force close apps,open wrong menu, wont answer or hang upcalls its all getting a bit much.
So 9 handsets in 10 weeks is beyond a joke im praying this ones ok so fingers crossed. -

I have the same problem with my galaxy s, no amount of sliding and hitting the green answer button works, pure luck that an incoming call gets answered!! drives me nuts but luv the phone just frustrating, bad design with regards to taking incoming calls grr.

bought my samsung galaxy s about a week ago, impressive phone definitely a good alternative for the iphone especially for those that use alot of apps, only problem is whenever i leave my phone on charge in the night or just leave it in general (ive tried both) it turns itself off during the night and cuts out so no alarm goes off in the morning (nearly missed a uni exam because of it!) and i have to take out the battery, put it back in before switching back on again and it works fine! this has happened 3 or 4 times now and as i say ive tried it on charge for the night and also just left it on by my bed and both times it has cut out and not been on in the morning!! anyone else had this problem?

My keyboard stops working very oftern it just goes blank freezes or the screen where it shows the writing you have typed just goes grey and wont let me type when i turn it off and on again it works for a few days then stops again!!! Please help!
