O2 gives away two months free home broadband

Internet service provider O2 has announced the return of its two months free home broadband offer.

Until the 31 January 2010 all of the O2 home broadband packages are available with the deal including the Standard, Premium and Pro options.

After the first two months there are two price points for each package, each on a 12-month contract. Existing O2 mobile phone customers are able to set themselves up with O2 home broadband with a considerable discount. To take a glance at the difference between download speeds and extras such as routers and support, check out Broadband Genie’s O2 Overview.

After the introductory period O2 Standard will be priced at £7.50 for O2 mobile phone customers and £12.50 for all others, its Premium package will be priced at £10 for existing O2 customers or £15 for non-O2 customers, whilst its Pro package is priced at £17.50 / £22.50.

Like most UK broadband providers, O2 has adjusted its pricing in line with the VAT rate going back to 17.5 per cent. Now, O2 Broadband’s monthly costs have reverted to the pre-VAT reduction pricing.
