Make your own multi-touch screen netbook for 73 (netbook not included)

If running Windows 7 on your netbook has you yearning for some of the multi-touch screen fun that other laptop manufacturers are offering, then help is at hand — you can now buy a 10.1” multi-touch screen kit on for $120 (around £73).

The kit comes courtesy of eBay seller ‘innotechglobal’ and it works with “most” 10.1” netbooks — we suspect any compatibility issues arise from the dimensions of the lid rather than something more serious.

You’ll need some skill with a soldering iron (the auction page doesn’t say *what* needs soldering, though) and the seller currently has zero feedback, so you might be taking a bit of a chance. Or, you might be one the first people to take a leap into the exciting world of multi-touch netbook displays, as the seller’s videos show…

Oh, and don’t forget that if you’re using a netbook with Windows 7 Standard edition, multi-touch support isn’t included — you’ll need at least the Home Premium edition.
