Motorola Droid Android 2.0 smartphone on sale now - £450, unlocked

There’s still no official news of a mobile network partner for the Motorola Droid in the UK, but Expansys is selling an unlocked version of this Android 2.0 smartphone right now.

The Expansys product page list the device as the Motorola Milestone Android 2.0 Smartphone, but the device is clearly the same as the Motorola Droid that’s been on sale in the US for a few weeks. The price is £449.99 and “UK customers can expect shipment in 4 working days”.

Expansys is also offering the Droid/Milestone for £50 with on the T-Mobile Combi 30 + Web N Walk tariff. This is an 18-month contract that costs £35/month and provides 700 free monthly minutes and unlimited* texts and data (*the usual yada yada). The smartphone isn’t yet available directly from T-Mobile, though.
