Are Lenovo Thinkpads starting to fall apart?

Lenovo Thinkpad screen bezel damageIs Lenovo finally starting to lose it with Thinkpad build quality? Some posters on the Tablet PC Review forum are reporting that the glue that holds the screen bezel together on ThinkPad X60 and X61 Tablet PCs softens when heated, which is a bit of a problem as TFT displays produce plenty of heat during normal use. Some forum posters are claiming that their screen bezels are now coming apart:

The separation is only occurring along the bottom where the tablet shortcut buttons are located. The separation is greatest above the 'Esc' button. If I press the bezel down it will stick temporarily but it comes apart again after a couple of minutes.

A Lenovo representative has responded to the claims by saying that: "engineering teams are aware of the issue and are investigating".
