Opera Mini 4 web browser for mobile phones now available

by Julian Prokaza on Wednesday 07 November 2007 3 Comments

Opera Mini 4Opera has released version 4 of its web browser for mobile phones, Opera Mini. Opera Mini 4 is a free download that runs on any handset with Java support -- most modern phones, in other words. Opera Mini automatically optimises pages for small screens and slow connection speeds before they're downloaded (via Opera's proxy servers), so it's surprisingly nippy on a handset. Pages can also viewed in 'desktop overview' mode and the browser can even synchronise bookmarks via Opera's social network service.
