Plymer Vision Readius

Endgadet has spent some time with a working prototype of Polymer Vision's Readius – the handheld gadget with a fold-away e-ink screen. The Readius a combination ebook reader/internet tablet/mobile phone. Or at least that's what it sounds like, judging by the specifications – it has Bluetooth, HSDPA, GSM/EDGE and SMS capability.

Polymer Vision, a spin-off company of Philips, plans to launch the Readius in some form later this year. The monochrome display may limit its appeal, but the 5in diagonal that folds away into a 100 x 60 x 20mm device will go a long way to mitigate that. There's no word on the price, though…
