Mycloud simplifies Wi-Fi across Europe

MycloudUsing Wi-Fi across Europe could be about to get a lot easier. Hotspot network, The Cloud, has just introduced Mycloud, a service that joins several operators across the continent into one subscription.

As well as The Cloud itself, major networks such as BT, T-Mobile and FON are also included. By joining all the networks together, it should make the whole process of using Wi-Fi hotspots simpler, not to mention cheaper.

The software automatically logs on whenever a friendly network is detected, which should also speed up the log in at free hotspots such as McDonalds', which all fall under the Mycloud umbrella.

The service is only in beta at the moment. Customers of The Cloud can sign up with an email to mycloudbeta@thecloud.net. For now it's also Windows only but the Devicescape INQ app it's based on will run on smartphones and Macs so don't be surprised to see a handset-based version and an Apple-friendly one too before long.
