Dell's art-inspired Inspirons
These are Dell's Special Edition Inspiron 1525 laptops. The designer notebooks carry the artwork of Brooklyn-based artist, Mike Ming. He says he: “wanted to create a sense of energy, playfulness, sophistication and psychedelic momentum," with his scribblings. Our thoughts exactly.
The special editions are the first in a series of designer Dells, which vice president of Consumer Experience Design, Ed Boyd, says is a trend he's, "excited to see continue."
The Ming Inspirons can be had from a surprisingly modest $699 - a $100 premium on a standard 1525. Dell hasn't said whether they'll be arriving here or whether any UK artists will get a look-in. A Damien Hirst Vostro perhaps?
