New designer Dell Studios
Pictures have been leaking onto the web for a few days now of Dell's new Studio line-up. Engadget unearthed snaps of the optional 'Permanent Pictaflex' prints by Mike Ming that will grace the hand rest of the 15in Studio 15 and 17in Studio 17. Now Gizmodo has unveiled the full spec list, including details of the colour schemes...
It's also published a screenshot (left) showing a Mac OS X style dock added to Vista to help clean up desktop clutter.
Users can look forward to multiple case hues (below) such as 'tangerine orange', 'flamingo pink' and 'midnight blue'. as well as a graphite option with black, blue, red or pink trim.
Pitching the Studios as high-end Inspirons with XPS attention to styling, the 15 will get Intel Core 2 Duo processors, a maximum 4GB RAM, up to 320GB capacity, optional Blu-ray and the option of 256MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450 graphics. It'll have an XGA 1200x800 display as standard or up to a UXGA 1920x1200 screen for those who pay extra.
The 17 will bump the optional graphics up to a 3650 HD and add a backlit LED 1440x900 display option.
No official word from Dell but the leaks keep coming.
