RIM BlackBerry Thunder - new photos

Following on from the Boy Genius Report’s earlier mock-up image of a BlackBerry Thunder, fan site BlackBerry Sync has today posted what it reckons are "exclusive shots" of RIM’s forthcoming (and would-be) iPhone-killer.

The shots, of which there are four (one replicated here for your viewing convenience), apparently show the Thunder’s media player application busy with both video clips and, a tad depressingly, the latest Leona Lewis album.

Anything else new here? Not a lot but for a reminder of what the tech world thinks it knows about the Thunder, click the Read more link below.

First things first. It’s important to treat BlackBerry Sync’s photos with caution. Sure they look impressive but as the Boy Genius previously demonstrated, it’s easy to fool people with fakes even if you’re not trying to. So, BlackBerry Sync’s anonymous tipster could very well be any old Photoshop dab-hand mischief-maker.

Similarly, few of the specs we’re about to list are confirmed. The display, for example, is expected to be a 480 x 460 touchscreen affair. We also think it will be a 4G phone, though with a distinct scarcity of 4G networks around the world even if true, this won’t be huge advantage from the get-go.

Anyway, that’s enough speculation. Go look at BlackBerry Sync’s lovely snapshots.
