Tosh makes it a dozen new Centrino 2 models
Not to be outdone by Sony and Lenovo, Toshiba has unveiled twelve updated new models, all fitted out with Intel's spangly new Centrino 2 processor.
The line-up includes eight new Satellites and Satellite Pros, plus a style-centric Portégé M800 and three hard-core Qosmio gaming rigs.
The new Qosmios each get 'Quad Core' billing. Before you get too excited, that's Toshiba's 'Quad Core' HD Processor SpursEngine SE1000 - a dedicated chip for handling tasks such as HD video playback and editing - rather than any main CPU quadcore shenanigans.

London, UK, 24 July, 2008 – Toshiba Computer Systems Division today announced the UK launch of its new Qosmio range of high-end multimedia and gaming notebooks, with three new models arriving to market with immediate effect.

Toshiba’s new F50 and G50 models are premium multimedia laptops encased in an impressive high-gloss and latch-less design. The Portégé M800 successfully combines specifications and style without compromising in any area.
