Juice Pack boosts iPhone 3G's battery life

Mophie Juice Pack 3GThose battery life issues we mentioned earlier could all be solved with the application of this svelte little battery pack from Mophie.

The Juice Pack 3G is said to be able to 'more than double' iPhone 3G's talktime, standby and playback times. It also boasts that it's currently the only Apple certified ”Works With iPhone” bolt-on battery.

Inside the non-slip, soft grip case is a rechargeable lithium polymer battery. A series of blue LEDs on the rear show how much 'juice' is left and with all four lit up it can add an extra 350 hours of standby, six hours' 3G talktime, 28 hours' audio playback and eight hours of video.

It'll be shipping in December for $99.95 plus $50 shipping to send it over to the UK. An iPod Touch version is also available for pre-order while 1st gen iPhone owners can get hold of the original Juice Pack now.

    According to the website, its actually available in September and I spoke with them and they stated that "they do and will have distribution in the UK, although they aren't sure which retailers will carry the product."

    Make that September then! Good news on the UK distribution, though for now pre-orders are only being taken on the US site.Ta - Nick

    such a good idea, to have a case that is also a battery pack! Glad to hear they'll be selling in shops in the uk soon- definately getting one 8)
