Dell's Studio XPS laptops leak online

Dell XPS Studio 13Dell's up to a spot of brand reshuffling as its XPS line-up fades to become a simple 'trim option' on the new Inspiron Studio category.

Leaked Dell slides show the XPS 1530 disappearing around November time with two new laptops cropping up in its place - the Studio XPs 13 and Studio XPS 15.

Both get slot-loading drives, light-up keyboards, trendy glass floating screens and the option to go for an LED-backlit display. Fingerprint scanning and webcam facial recognition make up the security suite.

As befits the XPS stamp, they'll have the option to include Blu-Ray. A third model, the Studio XPS 16, will also have a proper 16:9 aspect ratio with the option to spec a screen capable of 1080p. And yes, that is a wood trim you see. Retro.

While the XPS 1530 is dying out, the XPS 1330 and 1730 models are shown as continuing. We expect their stay of execution will be brief, however, so watch out for more high-end Dell announcements to come.
