More rumours of imminent HTC Dream launch

HTC DreamWe've heard of better sources but "two people" have apparently told Reuters that "a mobile phone based on Google Inc's Android software" (aka the HTC Dream) will be on sale in the States within weeks.

The infallible sources put 23rd September as the likely date for an announcement - which would put the launch later than the previously rumoured 17th September T-Mobile  'pre sale' date.

With other indicators pointing to an 'early October' launch in the US and a  November launch in the UK, it looks like a four-way iPhone 3G, BlackBerry Bold, Xperia X1 and HTC Dream face off is imminent.
