Undocumented iPhone 2.1 update fixes found

iPhone 2.1 securityWe touched upon some of the key new features in the new iPhone 2.1 firmware just after its release last Friday, but Apple appears to have made many more tweaks and fixes that are far less obvious.

A full (or at least very extensive) list of changes has been posted in the MacRumors forum by the redoubtable justinomg and includes added support for Bluetooth headsets, cosmetic changes in the iPod functions, improved SMS handling, added support for EXIF data in emailed photos, application restrictions and many other little tweaks that make the iPhone work just that little bit better. Of course copy and paste, isn’t one of them, but we’re sure Apple’s engineer’s are working overtime to crack that particularly tricky nut.

Rather than steal MacRumors’ traffic by republishing the full forum post here, we’ll leave you to click the link – and if you’re an iPhone user, it’s well worth it.
