'Seven days' to HTC Dream announcement

by Julian Prokaza on Tuesday 16 September 2008 Comment

HTC Dream23rd September is firming up as the likely date for T-Mobile to state when it'll be ready to unleash HTC's Google Android-powered Dream on the US.

The Wall Street Journal has now backed up an earlier prediction made by Reuters, citing "people familiar with the matter". It's also cited the "end of October" as the likely date it'll finally hit the shops Stateside.

According to the WSJ, HTC expects to ship 600,000 to 700,000 of the iPhone 3G rival before the end of the year.

Once again there's no word on pricing - or on a UK release. More when we get it.

UPDATE: YouTube user, scottlet, has posted a video of Google's London Developer Day, showing off a working Android phone. Look out for the subtly covered-up branding.
