Hands on with the Samsung NC10 - black
So we've already had a full hands on with the white Samsung NC10 but since every review unit that Samsung sent out was the white model - and since everyone seems to be waiting for the other colours, we thought we'd bring you a few up close and personal shots of a black NC10 we managed to get our hands on.
If you're after one yourself, the good news is that the black NC10 is finally finding its way into the UK. It's currently in stock at Dabs.com, eBuyer.com, Play.com and Saveonsamsung.com. Presumably due to demand, some stores have been cheekily putting up prices, so don't pay more than the £299 typical selling price if you can help it.
We can confirm that the black model is definitely better looking than the white, with the silver accents looking right at home against the matte black finish. Unsurprisingly, the gloss black lid is a finger print magnet but on the whole the black NC10 looks like it means business.
With the white and now the black NC10 already here, all we're waiting for is the blue model that goes for a two-tone look with its black keyboard. It looks like it could be next month till that one arrives so have a pre-order down if you want the blue model in time for Christmas - or order one from the US where they're in surprisingly plentiful supply (over there they can't get hold of the black one so maybe you could do a swap with one of our trans-Atlantic cousins.)
We'll have a full review shortly but first impressions of the NC10 are extremely favourable so watch out for more soon.

Hi Paul,
I have placed an order for the Black NC10 in the UK, but have noticed that most online images show these units to have a Korean keyboard. I am in the US and the only colors they have released here are the white and blue units. Can you tell me if your unit has the Korean keyboard and Wind XP version. Thanks -

Hi Lisa
The UK versions definitely have UK keyboars. They differ slighlty from US keyboards (£ sign on the 3 key, @ on the right hand side, etc) but if you touch type you can set the keyboard to be US style.

Just confirmed, Samsung will be releasing NC10 Black late December and Pink in January in US.Congrats to those of you who waited, as for me just opened my NC10 Blue...but love it just as easily if it were black.
