The Simpsons shines the satire spotlight on Apple

The Simpsons (Apple)We’ve long since given up on the increasingly laboured humour of The Simpsons, but it does still occasionally show an occasional flash of the funny that once made it great. The episode that aired on Sunday night in the US lampooned the cult of Apple, when a ‘Mapple’ store opens in the Springfield Mall.

It’s a pretty ham-fisted sequence, particularly compared to the show's heyday (“Who dares question the boss we fired ten years ago and then brought back?”), but is still worth watching for the odd LOL moment. There’s no news on when the episode will air on Sky One, but you can watch the opening few minutes after the cut – until it gets pulled from YouTube, that is…
