"2009 Moto line-up" leaked from Verizon

We may already have a glimpse at what Motorola's lining up for us in 2009. Boy Genius Report has been passed images supposedly from Verizon's upcoming catalogue, revealing a number of previously unseen Moto handsets.

While Verizon is a CDMA network, it does give some idea of the direction Motorola is heading. 2009 is being seen as something of a "make or break" year for Moto. Its handset division is already in dire straits after years of lacklustre launches. No doubt it'll be banking on these phones to turn things around. Click through for more and the rest of the snaps.

Although there are no specs to go with the pictures, the Flash (top left) appears to be the headliner, with sharpened corners, moulded touch buttons and a large touchscreen. The Windows logo gives it away as a Windows Mobile phone but other than that there are precious few details.

The rest (below) are a mixed bag consisting of the questionably-styled RUSH 2, which looks like a non-smartphone texter targeted very much for the US market. The Calgary seems to be a higher-end version of the same, with design hangovers from the RAZR's keypad, though how well those keys will work in QWERTY form remains to be seen. It could still be popular if it manages to stay thin, though.

Finally there's the Inferno, a touchscreen clamshell that takes the same form factor as the Krave ZN4. Sadly it doesn't look like it's the "high-end" Android phone we heard rumours of two months ago as it's shown running the same OS as the Calgary.
