LG's HSDPA enabled GD910 wrist phone

LG GD910 wrist phoneIn the future, we were assured, there would be robots, flying cars and video relaying wrist phones. Man's attempts at the first two have been distinctly rubbish but are hopes have been raised of the latter coming to fruition with LG's tiny GD910.

Sadly, it's not so tiny that it assumes the look of a conventional time-piece but if you've ever worn a 1980's calculator watch it'll feel right at home.

The LG-GD910 isn't the first phone to have us talking into our wrists, secret service style,  but it does pack in an impressive list of "big phone" features.

HSDPA is in there, at 7.2Mbps, no-less. The 1.43-in colour screen is touch controlled, natch, and the watch face includes a tiny camera for video calling. Bluetooth, voice dialling and, remarkably, a MP3 player are all on board too.

Word is it'll been unveiled for all to see at CES next month. Even better news is that, as well as Korea, the GD910 will also be finding its way to Europe in black and white rubbery strap versions.

No word on pricing but we'd give our right arm for one - assuming you wear your watch on the left, of course.
