2009 ISPA Awards open for entry

Wednesday 10 December 2008 Comment

The UK Internet Industry Awards (ISPAs) are now officially open for 2009 and this time, includes new categories such as ‘Best Customer Service’ and ‘Best Mobile Broadband’.

Set up in 1999 the Awards were organised to herald the best of the Internet industry and to “celebrate innovation and best practice.” Last year, the award for ‘Best Consumer Broadband’ went out to NewNet whilst the ‘Best Consumer ISP’ was presented to PlusNet

This year, the additional categories were said to be added to “reflect technological advances over the past year and a maturing Internet market”. The tweaks to the awards were implemented as a response to feedback received after last year’s event.

Using Epitiro software, all entrants to the 2009 ISPA Awards will be put through a rigorous testing procedure. This year the software will be available through the awards’ web site so that entrants can start testing straight away.

The black tie awards ceremony and gala dinner will be held at the London Hilton Metropole on Monday 13th July. Tickets for organisations and individuals will be on sale shortly.
