Next Palm handset to have slide-out keyboard and large screen

To be honest, we could probably leave this story at the headline, because that’s pretty much all we have to say.

But to flesh it out just a little, CrunchGear is reporting that it has information from a "trusted source" that tells it that Palm’s next smartphone will be launched on Thursday 8th Jan, at CES . To accompany its story, CrunchGear has mocked up this image of the device, though we have no way of knowing how faithful the actual handset this render is.

It will run Palm’s new operating system, codenamed Nova, which we reported on just last month. One of our number is at CES so we'll hopefully be able to report something more concrete about this new Palm later in the week.
