MSI announces two more X-Slim laptops

MSI X-Slim notebooksBack at CES, those MSI chaps got us all excited about the X-Slim X320 – a notebook with more than a few similarities to the feather-light Macbook Air.

The X320 hasn't actually been released yet, but that hasn't stopped MSI from firing out details of a further two new models in the X-Slim range.

The X600 and X340 are both styled in the same manner as the X320 and feature 15.6-inch and 13.4-inch displays respectively. More after the cut.

While the X320 has to make do with an Intel Atom CPU, both of these new models are to get Centrino 2 badges slapped on them, which means they'll be running off Core 2 Duo processors and will have other goodies such as Draft-N Wi-Fi.

Neither will place too much of a strain on your back - the X600 tips the scales at around 2kg, while the X320 is just 1.36kg.

Both are said to feature an HDMI output, while the X600 has the added bonus of an eSATA port.

There's no indication of what the expected battery lives for either model will be. In fact, apart from what we've already told you there isn't much else known about these laptops. Pricing is similarly vague, with reports suggesting both models will be somewhere in the region of $700 to $1,000 in the US.

Further details should surface at CeBIT, which kicks off in just eight days' time.
