• TomTom UK & Ireland for iPhone now available for £59.99
  Almost as pricey as a dedicated TomTom device and, judging by the reviews on the iPhone App Store, short of a few standard features. And there’s no car cradle. Other than that, it’s great!
• Advent launches thin and light Altro CULV laptop for £600
  A super-slim and not-stupidly-priced ultraportable — look out for a full review shortly
• Hands-on with the RIM BlackBerry Storm 9550
  Aka the BlackBerry Storm 2 and without some of the features that we just loved last time around…

• iPhone OS 3.0 bug means emails cannot be deleted
  Turns out that this is more of an unexpected by-design feature than a true glitch, but it’s could still be a pain for more private types.
• Windows Mobile 6.5 to launch in October - Windows Mobile 7 in February 2010
  Microsoft reveals cunning plan to limp on with outdated smartphone operating system for a further 12 months, then sell two different versions at the same time. What could possibly go wrong?

  Car with a cup holder in the transmission tunnel? Check! Selection of PVC drainpipe parts and a bit of MDF? Check! Stylish DIY laptop stand? Er…
• Intel updates GMA500 integrated graphics driver for improved performance
  And it sure needs it.
• Wireless power now has a name.
  Wireless Power Consortium christens cable-free charging technology. The name? “Qi”. Nothing to do with Stephen Fry, as far as we know.

• ‘Braille’ phone soon to be a reality?
  Probably not given that it relies upon made-up technology, but it’s a great concept.
• Google Chrome OS unveiled?
  Frankly, judging by the screen shot, it could be anything. At least it isn’t running on the Apple iTablet.
• Apple fixes MacBook Pro hard drive problem
  Sticky, clicky hard drive on your June 2009 MacBook Pro? You need Hard Drive Firmware Update 2.0!

• Nokia N900 internet tablet turns up
  A sneak preview of the latest version of our bestest handheld device of all time . /sarcasm
