Dell reveals new 10mm thick Adamo XPS laptop

Dell has already had once crack at a thin and light laptop with the original Adamo, now it’s taking a second bite of the cherry. The new Adamo XPS is an unbelievable “9.99mm” thick and although that’s really 10mm, it’s still very impressive for a traditional clamshell design — that’s assuming it isn’t a tablet PC, of course. The original Adamo was 16.5mm thick and the MacBook Air's 20mm thickness is huge in comparison.

Unfortunately, this teaser photo and that single fact is all we have to go on at the moment and there’s no word on specification. Unless Dell has had a breakthrough in cooling technology though, the Adamo XPS will almost certainly use one of Intel’s Atom processors, since the laptops with CULV chips we’ve seen so far all use active cooling of some description.
