iFixit unfixes the new Apple Macbook

The new unibody MacBook was only announced yesterday, but the folks at iFixit (most misleading web site name ever) have already stripped the polycarbonate portable down into its component parts.

Getting inside the MacBook’s case means removing two less screws than on the 13in MacBook Pro and seems pretty straightforward, leaving the SODIMM slots easily accessible.

It’s also interesting to note that the fixed 60Wh internal battery is only 5Wh up on that of the previous Macbook, which means that the dramatically increased battery life (seven hours, versus five hours) seems to be largely the result of improved power efficiency.
