Apple restores Atom support to Mac OS 10.6.2

by Julian Prokaza on Thursday 05 November 2009 Comment

The same developer who first stated that the last beta of Mac OS 10.6.2 had dropped support for the Intel Atom processor now states that’s the most recent release of Apple’s operating system update has restored it.

Either this was a glitch, or Apple is testing the waters to see what the response will be to it putting a stop to the Hackintosh scene. Either way, there’s still no news on when Mac OS 10.6.2 will be released to the public, so support for netbooks could well disappear again before that date.
